Why Is Jesus Coming?

Jesus is coming for the wheat. Wheat is the church that walked in obedience. Jesus is the sower (Matthew 13:30).

A harvest is set for the future (Hosea 6:11). Jesus sowed the word (Mark 4:14).

Who Is Jesus Coming For?

Light and gladness are sown for the righteous (Psalms 97:11). Spiritual seeds are sown (1 Corinthians 9:11).

Good fish are collected; bad fish are cast away. Those who seek God in godly fear will be found (Matthew 13:47-48). Cornelius feared God (Acts 10:22-23).

Forgivers (Matthew 18:32-33; Ephesians 4:32).

Those who give up all for Jesus (Matthew 19:20-21), giving generously (2 Corinthians 8:2-3).

Wages are given to those who work in the vineyard. The vineyard is the church, or kingdom of God (Matthew 20:8). Fire will try our labor — only what remains will receive wages (1 Corinthians 3:13-14).

Jesus is coming for the fruitful (Matthew 21:18). The fig tree refused to lose its sweetness (Judges 9:10-11).

We must be found in the wedding garment (Matthew 22:11). There are many spiritual garments for believers.

Invest your talents for the kingdom of God (Matthew 25:19).

Sell everything to buy the precious pearl — Jesus is the precious pearl (Matthew 13:45-46). Paul counted all his achievements as dung for the sake of Christ (Philippians 3:8).

Maranatha. Praise God. Amen.
