What Did Sin Do To Mankind?

Sin turned our default system to love the world and the things of the world. To enjoy fleshly desires and material comforts.

• Isaiah 59:2 sins cut us away from God

• John 3:20 makes us hate the light

• Psalms 38:5 sins make wounds fester and stink

• Hosea 14:1 sins bring us down

• John 8:34 slave of sin/ Genesis 4:7 sin wants to rule

• John 8:24 die in sins because no belief

• Psalms 51:9 stain of guilt

• Psalms 25:11 dishonours God

• Ezekiel 16:49-58 makes you a self-righteous sinner > Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, and laziness, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door.

HOW TO OVERCOME SIN?

• REPENT (Matthew 4:17) (Proverbs 28:13) (1 Timothy 5:24)

• Luke 5:20 FAITH overcomes sinful state

• Matthew 3:8 be FRUITFUL

• Psalms 19:12 CLEANSE me of all hidden faults

• James 5:16 CONFESS your faults to God; or to the one you sinned against

• 1 Peter 4:8 LOVE covers a multitude of sins

WHATEVER YOUR SINS, COME TO JESUS

• Isaiah 1:18 scarlet sins will become whiter than snow

• Isaiah 53:5 He was pierced for our rebellion and crushed for our sins

• Ephesians 1:7 rich in kindness and grace

• Psalms 51:1 God's unfailing love blots out stains

We are blessed to receive forgiveness of sins on the cross. The more we learn about God's love, our time will be spent on doing the things God loves. Sin will not be able to rule us.
