What happened when Athaliah was killed? Everyone rejoiced; peace prevailed when Athaliah was killed (2 Chronicles 23:21).

She represents natures that want to destroy the peace of God in our lives.

• Revengeful (2 Chronicles 22:10). We need to be cleansed of every filthiness of the flesh and spirit (2 Corinthians 7:1).

• Wicked (2 Chronicles 22:3). Athaliah's children were wicked (2 Chronicles 24:7). We must love godliness.

• Hates Worship (2 Chronicles 23:13). Praising and singing to Jesus our King is a believer's lifestyle.

Ugly natures do not allow us to enjoy the beauty of Jesus. We are in a war that can only be won by the power of the Holy Spirit. Don't be distracted by what's happening outside, dear child of God. Examine your life; let the peace of Jesus rule your heart.
