What Is One Of The Biggest Problems Among Christians Today?
One of the biggest problems among Christians today - They do not believe that the Bible is the Word of God.
What happens when we don't take God at His word? We fall prey to men.
New Testament believers are the most blessed, from Creation to Eternity. We have direct access to God the Father through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Yet so many choose man over God. The Israelites did so and lived to regret it — they had to endure Saul for over forty years.
The Corinthian church fought over which pastor was better. Some loved Paul; others, Apollos. Paul pointed them to God, in Christ, who helps everyone grow. When we take our eyes off God and His Word, spiritual growth stops.
What happens when there is no Spirit-led growth?
We live a fleshly life that cannot please God (Romans 8:5–8). Our thinking remains sinful, eventually leading to death.
We cannot understand spiritual matters (1 Corinthians 2:10–16). The church turns into an organisation rather than the body of Christ. Prayer, worship, and church programmes become mere ritual.
We begin living by law rather than by grace. Paul found the Galatian church in this very condition. Converted Jews pressured Peter to compel the Gentiles to be circumcised.
We remain spiritually immature — carnal children rather than sons and daughters ready to reign with Jesus in eternity.
We no longer fix our eyes on Jesus, and are carried away by every wind of doctrine. The Holy Spirit reminds us of the life of Jesus (John 14:26).
We are unable to comfort others, because the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, is not leading us (John 14:26).
We become unteachable, no longer receiving counsel from the Holy Spirit. We easily believe lies rather than truth (John 14:26).
Dear saint, we are in the last days. Build your intimacy with the Holy Spirit. He will give you wings to soar when Jesus appears.
